I was browsing youtube today and came across a movie advertisement that read “You Don’t Make 500Million Friends Without Making A Few Enemies”. Seeing and knowing the drama associated with social network sites, the poster immediately caught my attention. I clicked the ad and was taken to the trailer. From what I saw, the movie looked promising.
The story synopsis reads:
On a fall night in 2003, Harvard undergrad and computer programming genius Mark Zuckerberg sits down at his computer and heatedly begins working on a new idea. In a fury of blogging and programming, what begins in his dorm room soon becomes a global social network and a revolution in communication. A mere six years and 500 million friends later, Mark Zuckerberg is the youngest billionaire in history… but for this entrepreneur, success leads to both personal and legal complications. The Trailer
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg says his journey from Harvard to Silicon Valley with the social networking site that now has 500 million members and is worth somewhere around $20 billion has been “surreal.”
But he doesn’t sound that thrilled by The Social Network, the upcoming movie from Aaron Sorkin that chronicles the story of the site and its founders.
“I just think people have a lot of fiction. But, you know, I mean, the real story of Facebook is just that we’ve worked so hard for all this time,” he told ABC’s Diane Sawyer. He added, “I mean, the real story is actually probably pretty boring, right? I mean, we just sat at our computers for six years and coded.”
Zuckerberg said that he has seen a part of a trailer for the film — starring Jesse Eisenberg as Zuckerberg, along with Justin Timberlake and Rashida Jones — and said it’s “interesting,” but has no plans to see the movie.

I thought, watching the trailer that this would have been more based around a true story, but none the less looks like it will be a good movie. I’ll be waiting for this one. You can find out more about The Social Network Movie @ thesocialnetwork-movie.com
